Camp Tel Noar, a Cohen Camp, is currently hiring staff for the summer of 2020. Camp Nurse provides first aid care for campers and staff; attending to routine illnesses, injuries and emergencies as one of several nurses on staff. Responsibilities include overseeing the administration of medications to campers and staff, communications with parents about their children, scheduling visits with physicians and outside health care professionals as needed, monitoring overall camp health standards, and maintaining appropriate camp medical records. Nurse works as part of the Health Center team reporting to the Lead Nurse. Position runs for 8-weeks, beginning with Staff Orientation Week.

Office Manager provides front line customer service and communication to camp families, prospective camp families, vendors and visitors. Computer skills, especially with databases, organizational skills, including multi-tasking, attention to details of camp.

Boys and Girls Head Counselors lead bunk life including camper community building, staff supervision/evaluation, and communicate with parents/guardians. Requirements: 3+ years’ camp experience Bachelor’s degree.

Coordinator for Staff Engagement and Training develops and executes training units; facilitates weekly meetings with bunk counselors to address specific training needs, and coordinates staff engagement initiatives. Requirements: 2 years of camp staff supervisory and facilitation staff development and training programs. Bachelor’s degree.

Head of Athletics energizes our campers through team and individual sports while creating and promoting an environment for  good sportsmanship.  Coordinate schedules,  guide and evaluate staff.  Requirements: 1-3 experiences supervising, directing an athletic program.  Bachelor degree in education, physical education or recreational management preferred.

Head of Jewish Life and Learning coordinates Jewish cultural program, preparation and facilitation of discussion sessions on Jewish culture, values and, Israel, conducts Shabbat services. Requirements: 3 years + Judaica/Hebrew school instruction, strong Hebrew reading and speaking skills (conversational skills not required). Bachelor’s degree or current Rabbinical or Cantorial student.

Head of Outdoor Living  coordinates the outdoor living and learning program (camp craft/nature, camping, animal care, hiking program, and respect for the environment). Requirements: 3 years experiences as head of camp craft/nature or outdoor living program. Bachelor degree preferred.

Bunk/Specialty Counselors Live in a bunk with 10-16 campers and 2-3 other counselors and also contribute to a specific department area.
