Summer Opportunities

Camp Tel Noar, a Cohen Camp, is currently hiring staff for the summer of 2019. Camp Tel Noar offers room, board, competitive compensation, workers’ compensation, and the opportunity to spend a fantastic summer with terrific campers and outstanding staff members from around the world. Tel Noar team members must attend pre-camp planning meetings, including training the week before camp. Scroll down to see available jobs in the following areas:

Boys and Girls Head Counselors lead bunk life including camper community building, staff supervision/evaluation, and communicate with parents/guardians. Requirements: 3+ years’ camp experience Bachelor’s degree.

Head of Watersports coordinates waterfront programs including sailing, boating and canoeing, stand-up paddle boarding, windsurfing, and waterskiing programs and supervises staff. Requirements: 2 years’ experience; current WSI, Lifeguard Certification, CPR, First Aid, Life Guard Instruction Certifications required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Coordinator for Staff Engagement and Training develops and executes training units; facilitates weekly meetings with bunk counselors to address specific training needs, and coordinates staff engagement initiatives. Requirements: 2 years of camp staff supervisory and facilitation staff development and training programs. Bachelor’s degree.

Head of Jewish Life and Learning coordinates Jewish cultural program, preparation and facilitation of discussion sessions on Jewish culture, values and, Israel, conducts Shabbat services. Requirements: 3 years + Judaica/Hebrew school instruction, strong Hebrew reading and speaking skills (conversational skills not required). Bachelor’s degree or current Rabbinical or Cantorial student.

Coordinator for Outdoor Living and Learning coordinates the outdoor living and learning program (camp craft/nature, camping, animal care, hiking program, and respect for the environment). Requirements: 3 years experiences as head of camp craft/nature or outdoor living program. Bachelor degree preferred.

Bunk/Specialty Counselors Live in a bunk with 10-16 campers and 2-3 other counselors and also contribute to a specific department area.
