Unit Leader
Description: Under the supervision of the Head Counselor, the Unit Head serves as the liaison between the Head Counselor and the unit for which they are responsible. Unit Heads assist in overseeing their respective area including bunk life, health, safety, and operations. Each day the Unit Heads meet with their Head Counselor and report on the goings on with their respective campers, counselors, and cabins. The Unit Head is the second line of support for all cabin staff and camper issues. Unit Leaders will also play a significant role in executing staff orientation and ongoing training throughout the summer
Qualifications: 1-3 years of camp staff supervisory experience at a day or residential camp, preferably a Jewish residential camp. The position requires pre-camp training in Spring/early Summer that involves child development education, parental communication training, and staff management skill building.
