Camp Tel Noar is committed to teaching respect for the environment and the skills to enjoy it. The area around Tel Noar is a picturesque environment and practical laboratory for learning about nature and for developing hiking and camping skills. Campers learn campfire building, outdoor cooking, lashing, and orienteering. Tel Noar’s own campground, situated a short walk from the main area of camp, allows every bunk to have an overnight camping adventure.
In 2005, Camp Tel Noar's nature program introduced chickens, bunnies, and gerbils as an Animal Husbandry component. Campers care for, raise, and learn about these animals as they become unoffical CTN mascots.
